A few respectable engines are available for the Jeep Renegade. The Sport and the Latitude models are powered by a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that pumps out 180 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque. Optional for those and standard on the Limited and Trailhawk is a turbocharged 1.3-liter four-cylinder that makes 177 horsepower and an impressive 210 lb-ft of torque. Both engines pair with a smooth sailing nine-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard on most trims, with all-wheel drive being optional. The Trailhawk comes with all-wheel drive as standard.

What are the notable features of the Renegade?

Four trim levels come with the 2020 Jeep Renegade, and each has an impressive array of features. Also coming standard is a 115-volt household-style power outlet, leather upholstery, and a power-adjustable driver’s seat. If you’re looking for more off-road features, you’ll get them with the top-rated Trailhawk, which has all-terrain tires, four-wheel drive with low-range settings, hill descent control, a raised suspension, tow hooks, and underbody skid plates. Also coming standard is a full-size spare, and unique exterior and interior accents.

Jeep is fully committed to your safety, which is why the Renegade offers a few safety packages to help keep you driving with confidence. The Limited and the Trailhawk come with a Safety and Security package that has a blind-spot monitor, vehicle alarm and cargo cover. The Sport and the Limited Safety and Security Group II have those as well as automatic wipers. The Latitude and the Limited also have the option of an Advanced Technology package that has automatic high beams, adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, and an automated parking system.
