Dodge isn’t known as the Brotherhood of Muscle for no reason. Dodge is known for this because the brand repeatedly puts out muscle cars with ridiculously high horsepower engines, and the all-new 2021 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye fits right into the fray of Dodge’s powerful lineup. The demon-possessed Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye is the fastest and most powerful mass-produced sedan in the entire world thanks to a supercharged Hemi high-output engine.

How much horsepower does the Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye have?

To get straight to it the 2021 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye has an astounding 797 horsepower pumping from its engine. The quickest production Charger ever is sure to give you a rush of adrenaline when you floor it down the track. At the drag strip, the SRT Hellcat Redeye raced down the quarter-mile in just 10.6 seconds at 129 mph. On a 2.1-mile road course, the SRT Hellcat Redeye runs 1.2 seconds faster than the regular SRT Hellcat. That means that the Redeye has pulled approximately seven car lengths ahead of the Hellcat after just one lap.

What can you tell me about the supercharged engine?

The SRT Hellcat Redeye has the largest factory supercharger of any production car at 2.7-liter versus the 2.4-liter supercharger you see in the regular Hellcat. The supercharger is connected to a 6.2-liter Hemi high-output V8 engine that allows the Redeye to make 797 horsepower and 707 lb-ft of torque. The monstrous engine in the Redeye works with a TorqueFlite 8HP90 eight-speed automatic transmission. When you compare the Redeye engine against the Hellcat engine, you’ll see that boost pressure has been increased from 11.6 psi to 14.5 psi. The rpm limit is now 6,500 rpm virus the 6,200 rpm limit of the Hellcat. The Redeye also features a larger induction air box with three sources of intake air.

Does the SRT Hellcat Redeye have any performance features?

It has a bunch! The Redeye has Launch Assist, which helps combat wheel hop. Wheel hop happens when the tires quickly slip and regain traction at launch, which can damage driveline components. Wheel speed sensors watch for signs that the tires are either slipping or sticking. If either of these are detected, the engine control module will reduce torque to maximize traction. Other performance features of the SRT Hellcat Redeye include Torque Reserve, Launch Control, Line Lock, SRT Drive Modes, and SRT Performance Pages. The Performance Pages include a g-force heat map, a real-time dyno graph, and more!
