Uconnect 5 and its many features
Uconnect 5 is the next generation of infotainment software, and its features are a testament to that. In addition to its operation speeds up to five times faster than the current Uconnect 4 software, Uconnect 5 will offer advanced technology never found in the same vehicle before. Uconnect five features wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for seamless smartphone integration without tangled wires cluttering the center console area. Amazon Alexa virtual assistant is also standard with Uconnect 5 and allows drivers to control the music, continue a list, and more by using their voice as they would with their in-home Alexa device. Additionally, TomTom navigation with over-the-air updates provides drivers with up-to-date traffic information and the fastest route options. Other standard Uconnect 5 features include Bluetooth connectivity for up to two enabled devices, 4G LTE WiFi for up to eight devices, voice recognition, and more. In addition, the Uconnect 5 system can memorize the driver’s preferred settings, including seat and mirror position, music preferences, climate controls, and more, with five separate user profiles.
