Countering the Wagoneers impressive V8 engine is the Chevy Tahoe which comes with a solid V8 engine in its own right. It’s a 5.3-liter V8 that pumps out 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque and connects to an automatic transmission. If you settle on the top-trim, known as the High Country, you will have the option of a 6.2-liter version of the V8. Optional on all trims of the Tahoe is a diesel-powered and turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder that also pairs with an automatic transmission. The Tahoe, like the Wagoneer, provides you with the option of four-wheel-drive. There is a lot to like about the Tahoe’s power, but the Wagoneer comes out on top.

The Chevy Tahoe tries to keep up with what the Wagoneer offers with exciting features on its six trim levels. The base trim is the LS which provides drivers and passengers with LED headlights, 18-inch wheels, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, and forward collision mitigation. Then there is the LT which piles on what the LS has with a hands-free liftgate, wireless charging pad, leather upholstery, driver-seat memory settings, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. Want more luxury items, the Tahoe gives it to you, but you have to go with the RST trim, which offers 22-inch wheels, black exterior trim, and a unique front fascia. Higher trims round things out with all-terrain tires, hill descent control, a 10-speaker Bose audio system, heated and ventilated seats, head-up display, rear pedestrian alert system, and a surround-view parking system.
