Favorite Family Friendly Places

Are you thinking about road tripping with the kiddos this summer? I know we will be doing a lot of traveling. We recently moved to Virginia. We spent the five previous years in Florida. There is so much to do in the state of Florida. We only experienced a handful of what all it has to offer. Today I’ll give you a preview of Orlando.

Orlando is very family friendly. Of course with Orlando you get Disney World. I could do a whole post on Disney World in itself but I’ll stick to Orlando in general. Here’s my list of my favorite family friendly places:

• Disney World
  Disney World has something for everyone. It has four theme parks. They include Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom. There are also two water parks, Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach. Two of my favorite spots in Disney World are the Boardwalk and Downtown Disney. Both of those locations have free admission.

• Universal Studios
  Universal Studios is also home of Islands of Adventure and Wet ‘n Wild Waterpark. If you have Harry Potter fans in your house then The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is a must see.

• SeaWorld
  Who doesn’t love marine life? There are so many things to see and do in this park. It is fun for all ages. Not only do they have animals, there are rides and shows as well.

• Wonderworks
  This building and all of it’s contents are literally upside down! It has over 100 exhibits. There are tons of hands on activities. Fun for everyone.

• Gatorland
  Gatorland is exactly what the name says. It is a haven for gators. They put on feeding shows. If you are really brave you can do the Adventure Hour and get up close and personal with these animals.

• Cocoa Beach
  Does the beach need much explaining? The sun, sand, and the ocean. What else do you need? This is a beautiful beach on the Atlantic Coast.

• Kennedy Space Center
  Space exploration! You can see what it’s like to be a real astronaut. They also periodically have live launches. It is an experience like non other.
  That is just the tip of the iceberg in Orlando. You really can’t go wrong with a visit to this magical city.
