Trim Levels of the 2019 Dodge Journey

A stablemate that has been around since 2009, the Dodge Journey is seen as the workhorse of the SUV class. And in 2019 it seeks to build on its legacy with the addition of such useful features such as all-wheel drive, a heated steering wheel, as well as the highly regarded Uconnect system with an included 8.4-inch touch screen. In 2019, the Dodge Journey simplifies its lineup down to three trims giving consumers more choices than ever before, and we’re here to break down each one of them!

SE

All trim levels come standard with four-wheel drive, with the option of all-wheel drive. Front-wheel-drive SE comes standard with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 173 horsepower and 166 lb-ft of torque paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. If you opt for all-wheel drive, you will get a 3.6-liter V6 engine with 283 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. Featured highlights for the SE include 17-inch wheels, automatic headlights, roof rails, heated side mirrors, and a height-adjustable driver’s seat. Also included is a rearview camera and a six-speaker sound system with a 4.3-inch touchscreen interface. The SE can also be upgraded with three optional packages such as the Connectivity package that provides Bluetooth, satellite radio, voice commands, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The Comfort and Convenience package that offers upgraded cloth upholstery and a power-adjustable driver’s seat. And the Premium Group which combines the two.

Crossroad

The Crossroad trim provides you with the Premium Group and adds 19-inch wheels, leather upholstery, three-zone climate control with rear-seat vents, and an upgraded 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system. You can also get such optional features such as heated front seats, remote start, a sunroof, and a Driver Convenience package, which includes rear parking sensors and a universal garage door opener. Like the SE, the Crossroad comes with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine paired with a four-speed automatic with the 3.6-liter V6 with a six-speed automatic as an option.

GT

The highest trim level for the Dodge Journey is the GT, and the 3.6-liter V6 engine is now the standard. The GT also gives you most of the features that are associated with the Crossroad while adding leather seating, unique 19-inch wheels, upgraded suspension, one-touch front windows, and higher quality speakers. The GT also gets a trailer-preparation package and includes safety features like rear parking sensors.

The 2019 Dodge Journey provides you a ton of value in the SUV genre. With such features like three-zone climate control, a modern Uconnect system with Bluetooth, and heated front and rear seats, the 2019 Dodge Journey is celebrating its tenth anniversary in style. We especially like the option of a V6 engine which adds more power and more choice to the Journey.
