Visit Thomson CDJR for New Jeep Inventory!

The 2022 Jeep Gladiator is coming into this model year with a bang, presenting a strong lineup of four core trim levels, the Sport, Overland, Rubicon, and Mojave. In addition to these mainstays, there is a wealth of supplemental trim levels like the Willys, Willys Sport, High Altitude, and more! No matter which Gladiator you choose, youā€™ll find features like removable doors, a soft-top removable roof, a fold-flat windshield, and a sturdy five-foot flatbed. Whether youā€™re packing up for an off-road expedition, or working on the job site, the utilitarian nature of the Jeep Gladiator is sure to impress! Youā€™ll enjoy features like its 4,500-pound maximum towing capacity, 1,200-pound maximum payload, and standard 4-wheel drive. Thereā€™s also specialty off-road features on the Rubicon and Mojave trims, as well as lots of other exciting features throughout the lineup. Continue reading down below to learn more about what each Gladiator trim level has to offer!

Sport

The Sport trim lays the groundwork for the entire Jeep Gladiator lineup. This model is no-frills, and cuts right to the chase in terms of bringing you a strong and sturdy vehicle that can stand up to the wear and tear of your daily tasks. For example, the Gladiator has removable carpet floor mats, so you can easily wash out the interior and let the water drain out through one-way plugs built into the floor. Under the hood, the Sport comes with a 3.6-liter V6 engine, mated to your choice of either a 6-speed manual or 8-speed automatic transmission. It also features a rear back-up camera, crank windows, and an eight-speaker audio system. Other features include steel skid plates, front tow hooks, and Dana 44 axles.

Overland

The Overland trim is a slightly sleeker version of the Gladiator, and adds some additional comfort and convenience features onto the model we saw with the Sport trim. The Gladiator comes with features like power windows and door locks, dual-zone automatic climate control, and automatic headlights. It also introduces the Uconnect 4 infotainment system to the lineup, which features a standard 7-inch touchscreen, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone capability. Thereā€™s also a leather-wrapped steering wheel for an extra touch of comfort and style, and you can opt for available leather-trimmed seats to match. Other features of the Overland include heated power side mirrors, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, 18-inch wheels, and wheel-to-wheel side steps.

Rubicon

Moving up to the Rubicon trim, youā€™ll notice that the Gladiator becomes even more rugged than before, with a whole host of specialized features that compliment the Rubiconā€™s Trail Rated capability. Itā€™s also worth noting that you can opt for a second engine option, which is the 3.0-liter diesel V6, which delivers a hearty boost of torque. Some standard features of the Rubicon include a Rock-Trac part-time 4X4 system that optimizes low-range gearing, and provides an 84:1 crawl ratio for excellent traction and stability on rocky terrain. Other features of the Rubicon include 33-inch all-terrain tires, a Rubicon hood decal, locking front and rear differentials, and FOX shock absorbers.

Mojave

The top-tier Gladiator model is the Mojave. This model is similar to the Rubicon, but rather than rocky terrain, the Mojave is built for the sand. It comes exclusively with the 3.6-liter gas V6, as well as high-clerance fender flares, and a 1-inch front lift. Its FOX internal bypass shocks and front hydraulic jounce bumpers help the Mojave absorb any vibrations, which helps you maintain control behind the wheel, while also reducing road noise. Other features of the Mojave include orange accents along the dashboard and seats, including an embroidered Mojave emblem, an 8.4-inch infotainment touchscreen, and a reinforced frame for even more stability.
